We delve into the history and culture and enjoy the all sights of this bustling and interesting beachside port town. Itinerary: Start in 8:00 am with hotel pick up an be taken to the Venetian tower, Castle of Durres which is one of the most complete sets of walls from Late Antiquity in the Balkans. Here we enjoy a complimentary coffee and welcome chat before head of on our walk. First, we visit The Church of Apostle Paul and Saint Asti. Showcasing Christianity in Durres, this beautiful building was restored and finished in 2002. We then walk to Turkish Hammam and then onto the Duress city hall. We will see the square and new Mosque, Saint Lucia Church, Byzantine Forman and Roman baths & Amphitheater of Durres. Lunch is included, enjoy the view while we eat traditional dishes including local seafood if desired. A beverage is included. We continue to Amphitheater of Durres & Faith Mosque on our way to Aleksandër Moisiu’s House-Museum, a structure of beautiful architecture and ethnographic exhibits as well as childhood home of famed actor Aleksandër Moisiu. You will then enjoy a visit Archeological Museum. This ultra-modern, well-lit and labelled museum just back from the seafront has a breathtaking collection of historical artefacts. Entrances are included. A short walk now to see the Cape square also known as ‘Sphinx square’. Opportunity to take some time for photos and walk in Ventus Harbor or simply take a rest and enjoy the views of the sea. Now we drive to our destination King Zog’s Palace, Royal Villa of Durres then our tour concludes at approx. 5.30pm with complimentary hotel drop off back to Tirana.
