Nordic Walking around Parc Montnegre and Corredor

Private Tour

Duration: TBA

Language: English

Operates: Daily

PRICE: Per Person €110 including transport

TOUR DESCRIPTION

Just 45 minutes from Barcelona we will discover the forests and corners of Montnegre and

Corredor Park. We will start the trekking in the town of Vallgorguina where we will go to the

Font d'en Nel. Once you have drunk water and recharged your energy, you will head towards

the Gentile Stone Dolmen.

The Gentile Stone Dolmen is located at an altitude of 328m. It is a megalithic construction of 7

vertically nailed slabs on top of which is the roof stone. This structure has never been

excavated or scientifically documented, leaving some uncertainties about its original origin,

shape, and location.

You will discover the surroundings of Vallgorguina, with a route with a low slope and accessible

to all, 6 km of circular route. It is a pleasant, uncomplicated excursion, marked as a local trail

(SL-C 71) that runs along the Park's tracks and paths.

Throughout the route the colors, all year green, are predominant in the landscape. More than

95% of the area of the Park is forested. This will also allow us to discover the different types of

persistent leaf forests that this relief rounded by erosion hides.

The Pedra Gentil dolmen, Santa Eulàlia de Tapioles and the farmhouses of Can Pradell de la

Serra and Can Clarens are the main architectural elements of the route, showing the life and

human occupation of the Corredor slope.

The tour will end at the Museum of the Forest and the Peasantry. The museum's collection is

divided into two floors that give value to the world of the forest, nature and agriculture.

The ground floor is dedicated to agriculture: life and values in the field, the tools used and

technical advances, cereals and life. The first floor focuses on the forest and nature:

exploitation and trades (charcoal, peelers, lumberjack), vegetation, fauna and current uses

(hiking)
