Fish Market in Montgat & Tapas by the Sea

We will take the local train to Montgat, a stone-throw away from Barcelona’s city center, to

get immersed into the atmosphere of a small fishermen’s village where the local fish market

takes place daily still like it did in the past.

An unique experience as we will witness the only remaining singing fish auction of the whole

Catalan coast, a tradition kept for generations. We will stroll around the charming maritime

village to feel the local vibes before ending up savoring seafood tapas a typical “xiringuito”

restaurant right by the sea (gourmet seasonal menu at local restaurant at low season)

Explore beyond Barcelona: support sustainable fishing & local traditions contributing to the

regional economy.

Local tip: Don't make any plans for the afternoon and bring your beach kit with you. Enjoy
