TOUR DESCRIPTION

Discover the experience of flying in a hot-air balloon over La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural

Park, one of the most interesting areas of dormant volcanoes in Europe. A flight in a hot-air

balloon is a different way of travelling. Floating in the air and enjoying the

peace and the quietness of the sky you’ll feel an absolute freedom and a perfect stillness. This

experience is ideal for nature-lovers and for those searching for new feelings; a hot-air

balloon flight gives you a 360o bird’s-eye view of the landscape below.

On clear days, the views stretch from Montserrat to the Mediterranean Sea, with the

Pyrenees in the background and the dormant volcanoes below.

The activity begins bright and early in the morning (in the summer at 07.00, in spring and

autumn at 07.30 and in winter at 08.00)

While the preparation of the balloon is being done you can enjoy a cup of coffee, take as many

photos as you wish or help us to inflate the balloon. During the flight, the wind will decide our

path being in the air for 1h 30 min (approx.)

Up in the sky, we will taste a pink Catalan Cava which symbolizes the colour of the volcanoes

below, and we will try a piece of coca de llardons, a delicious and typical Catalan cake.

Once we land, we will pick you up in a 4×4 vehicle and take you back to the installations, which

are for exclusive use for our customers. There you will be able to enjoy a typical Catalan

breakfast of tomatoes bread, Santa Pau haricot beans and butifarra (the Catalan national

dish!), desserts from Cooperativa la Fageda, wine and ratafia, a Catalan liquor that is

produced with the herbs we find in our forests.
