About this trip

We have all heard of the wonders of Gaudí trencadís, haven’t we? And we have all seen Barcelona’s Sagrada Família, at least in pictures. We suggest now to know the history of Modernism in Barcelona, contemplating and analyzing outstanding representations, and little-known details, in this private tour.

With this private guided tour, you’ll discover all about the Sagrada Familia, the masterpiece of Antoni Gaudi. During more or less 1 h30, your private official guide will explain to you all about it; the history, legends, symbology. In this Barcelona Private tour we will visit the museum.

After visiting the Sagrada Familia, you´ll explore all about the Modernism of the Eixample. Starting at La Pedrera, in the upper part of Passeig de Gracia, by car or walking, always downhill, we will arrive at Plaça Catalunya. We will see unique buildings typical of Modernism such as Casa Fuster, Casa de Les Punxes, Casa Comalat, the Baró de Quadras Palace,( the greatest exponent of the House-Art work by Gaudí). Casa Milà (La Pedrera), Casa Marfà, Casa Batlló, Casa Ametller and Casa Lleó Morera, making an introduction to Barcelona in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Once you know everything about the Modernism, we will carry on with the private tour. Up in a private car transfer and you will discover Montjuich.

Montjuich is the hill close to the port. We will make 2 or 3 stops to enjoy the great views of Barcelona City.

  1. The National Palace (beautiful building and great views of the city)

  2. The Olympic Ring (made for the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona: The Olympic Stadium and Calatrava’s antenna).

  3. Miramar (The best views over the port of Barcelona from the terrace in front of the 5-star hotel Miramar)
