The squares, museums & famous bustling café scene are what make this city fascinating. You will see a mix of art, history, culture and religious themes all within easy walking distance. Our expert local guide will show you all the hot spots, the best cafes & restaurants and provide you will all the local tips. Itinerary: Hotel Pick up in Durres starts at 8.00am we meet in Mother Theresa Square the second largest square in Tirana. We visit the Archeological Museum and the Centre of Albanological Studies. After the museum we walk to view the Government Buildings, Presidential Palace and Tirana University Building. Prime Minster building & Pyramid of Tirana. On our way to the Museum of Fine Arts we will stop for morning tea at Taiwan restaurant complex. A beverage and light snack are provided. Entry to National Museum of Fine Art showcasing the finest works of Albanian artists. Skanderbeg Square is next with entrance into the the Clock Tower where you have time to enjoy the view and take photos. Next we visit the Et’hem Bey Mosque, this small & elegant mosque is one of the oldest buildings remaining in Tirana. Next stop is House of Leaves Museum of Secret Surveillance displaying one of the darkest periods of the country’s history. On our way to Lunch we make a stop The Resurrection of Christ Orthodox Cathedral of Tirana. We now have an hour or so to enjoy a traditional Albania lunch. Chosen off a set menu with 1 wine, beer or non-alcoholic beverage included. After lunch we enjoy a short visit to the at Museum of the Bank of Tirana, here you can deepen your knowledge on the financial and monetary history of Albania, starting from antiquity to modern times. (Only open on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) before we continue to our last stop the National Museum of history which holds most of the country’s treasures.
