Historic Kruje & Winery Tour

Service Description

Itinerary: Hotel pick up at 8am Air conditioned vehicle transport with local drive and guide to Kruje & Mt Sari Salltik. Here you will view and underground mosque and views over towards the Adriatic Sea. Once in Kruje entrance to the Museum of Skanderbeg & Castle is included. This museum, inside the castle complex, opened in 1982 and its spacious seven-level interior displays replicas of armor and paintings depicting Skanderbeg's struggle against the Ottomans. The museum is something of a secular shrine, and takes itself very seriously indeed, with giant statues and dramatic battle murals. Next you will have time in the local bazaar, with the opportunity to shop for local trinkets and witness traditional handmade crafts. If you would like a light lunch there are lots of options and we suggest you eat before leaving Kruje. Next we enjoy a visit to one of our favourite wineries, a 1 hour tour of the winery and wine tasting 3 different wines & tapas are also included and views over the surrounding vineyards and rolling hillside. Enjoy some time chatting and drinking before you head back to Tirana. Hotel drop off included at a time to be determined locally. Our guides are very flexible and remain at your disposal.
